About Memory Matters

Memory Matters is a private neuropsychology & psychology practice

Memory Matters was established in 2009, by Dr Carla Thompson, to improve access to psychology services for people living with brain injury and dementia. At the time, Dr Thompson had observed many people with neurological disorders missing out on much needed psychological care due to mobility issues and/or cognitive impairment preventing in-room attendance. Memory Matters was established to bridge the gap by offering outreach/home-based support.

Since then, Memory Matters has grown, and we now offer neuropsychology and psychology services to persons across the lifespan with various neurological and psychological presentations. We have flexible service delivery options including face-to-face (in-rooms and community-based) and via telehealth. Our telehealth services are available Australia-wide, and face-to-face services across Melbourne metropolitan and some regional areas. Our experienced and compassionate psychologists also offer family counselling & support, training & education to other service providers, supervision, mentorship, and group programs.
