Referrals

If you are seeking psychological/neuropsychological support for eligible conditions under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), a GP referral and copy of the MHCP is required to be eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Under a MHCP, you are entitled to an initial 6 therapy sessions with a rebate amount of $93.35 per session. There is also an out-of-pocket cost of $96.65 per session. On completion of the first 6 sessions, a letter will be sent to your GP to advise if further sessions are required. You are entitled to a further 4 Medicare subsidised sessions. You can access 10 sessions in total per calendar year. 

If you are interested in a psychological or neuropsychological assessment, you do not require a doctor’s referral. Unfortunately, there is no Medicare rebate for assessment services. Assessment costs vary depending on the type of assessment requested. To make an enquiry about costs, please contact our Intake Officer via our contact page.

We are registered to provide psychological and neuropsychological services to clients funded by the TAC, Worksafe, Lifetime Care, NIISQ, DVA, and Centrelink. We are not a registered NDIS provider but regularly provide services to plan and self-managed NDIS participants.
