Stress is a common physical response to new or challenging situations. You may feel overwhelmed, wound-up, tense, worried, or fatigued. A small amount of stress is normal and can be good for you. It can help motivate you to act and perform at your best. However, sometimes stress can be prolonged and can negatively impact facets of your life, such as work and relationships. While for some, feelings of stress can progress to anxiety or depression.

Our psychologists understand that stress can easily take over your life and cause you to feel overwhelmed and burnt out. We will listen to your experiences and help you identify the sources of stress in your life, including how your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviours may contribute. Identifying the sources of stress is the first step to management, followed by establishing any unhealthy or unhelpful coping mechanisms. You will be supported to develop alternative approaches to help you alleviate stress and prevent further impact on your life.
